About the School
Jantar, IH Split, started as a school of foreign languages in 1992. Today we teach more than 1600 students of all ages.
We were founded by Mirjana Sobin, and are still a family run school. Our motto is “teach with the heart”, our catchphrase “into a world without linguistic boundaries”, and our message is “we have dreams and a vision and go forward”!
Life in and around Split
Split is busy and big – it’s Croatia’s second largest city.
It has a stunning location nestled between the mountains and the Adriatic sea. You can always find a ferry to one of the local islands if you want to escape to a quiet sandy beach and catch up on some watersports.
In Split, the main historical attraction is the World Heritage Site of Diocletian’s Palace. But there are many other things to do including trendy bars and restaurants.
If you want to explore other historic towns, easy day trips are to Hvar and Trogir. Into the mountains you can get to the Krka Waterfalls national park.
If you have a weekend spare, don’t miss out on a trip to Dubrovnik – a stunning medieval citadel.
